Marina Abrajovic opened up about her childhood in a tragic family environment in her new music video, “Loving the Beaws.”
“My mother and her brother were murdered and my father was left alone,” Abramović, 28, said.
“I was the youngest child and they never talked about anything.
They only talked about me.
I was the only one that had to look out for myself.
I always wanted to be like my father, because he was a warrior, and I wanted to do the same thing.”
The young actress, who has been working on a series of music videos for the past few years, said she is now living her dream by learning to paint and learn the piano.
“For me, it’s about love and acceptance and love and forgiveness,” Abrajaovic said.
The “Livín” star, who is also a director, is known for her bold, edgy, and provocative videos.
In one, she’s shown holding a sign with the words “My father died for you,” and in another, she plays a piano solo on a giant sheet of ice.
